Williams Mugs Soap vs Can shaving cream/foam.

I just ordered a straight razor (unseen flawed from whippeddog) and I'm trying out SRs because those disposable razor heads get expensive!

I have a can of store brand shaving cream already. Would Williams Mugs Soap be better options than what I currently have?
