Rant about 'modern women'

Hello reddit,

about 3 years ago I was dumped by my now ex-wife, who likewise pulled away from our kids. She didn't abandon the kids entirely, but she made it clear she'd rather be out drinking with her friends, flirting with other men and partying than taking care of her own children. For that matter she'd gain more satisfaction out of babysitting someone else's kids as opposed to her own.

In the end I'm realizing that my ex wife decided that she wanted to be a modern woman. On facebook it's the ubiquitous photo of the woman holding a glass of booze, in a club; on match.com it's the self-description of 'spontaneous, fun-loving and independent'. Or when I look at women IRL their lifestyles are all like this - party with friends, flirty with men (or outright fool around), and act like a 14 year old.

Yeah. Basically, it's all about you, and anything that gets in your way - husband, children, home, family, whatever, you ignore or abandon outright. And this is the norm, there's nothing exceptional or unusual about this.

In other words, modern women are rotten.
