Help with Dwemer ruin

So I'm in [Kagrumez in Solsthiem] (/spoiler) and I got a ]dwemer spider and sphere] (/item) as a reward but I tried talking to it and I can't accept it as a follower. If it helps Serana is with me and I already tried dismissing her.
