Handling UNICODE with Cherry Py.

I'm working with Cherry Py; the program interacts with the user via a browser, and whenever I want to send an unicode character to the browser, it just blows-up right there with

UnicodeDecodeError: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xXX in position YY: ordinal not in range(128)

How hard can it be to send a ¡ə®ƒ¶*# string to the browser without checking every single bit for überkosherness???
