Bad power supply

Hey r/computers today I was downloading something and my computer shut down. When I pushed the start button it did nothing. I think it's my power supply because if I unplug the computer and plug it back in the light on the power supply glows but when I hit the power button it goes out and nothing else happrns. Im just wondering if someone with more knowledge then me can tell me if this is an accurate guess
