Photographing Ancient Coins

Does anyone have any insight into photographing ancient coins?

I have been in the market for a nice camera the past 8 or so years, but I always end up buying more coins instead of a camera...

Does anyone have any camera recommendations? (I am looking for a camera that is a good value.) Also, what lighting set up do you use to take pictures of your coins?
