My motherboard hates me

So, here's the situation. I was having some cooling issues on my CPU, no biggie. Suddenly, my computer won't even turn on.

I have an asus motherboard. It's this one

So, here's my problem. The board checks the memory right before it boots up. If it fails that check, it stops the boot up and the MemOK led turns on. Nifty right? Well not. I bought new ram, pressed the button, and NOTHING.

This same problem happened a year ago. Does anyone have any advice on what to do?
