I haven't received Communion in almost 10 years... NSFW

Hello friends,

I am a 26 year old male Catholic and I have not received Communion since I had my confirmation mass. The reason for this is because I have been watching pornography since I was a teenager. I decided to not receive communion for this reason.

It has also been almost 10 years since my last confession. It is embarrassing to confess my sins to the Priest. I don't want him to know that I watch porn and masturbate. I am trying to quit this addiction and I hope that when I finally do I will be able to be more active in my church and have a stronger relationship with God.

Am I doing the right thing by not participating in the act of Communion? I feel like I am missing out on so much! I want to eat and drink the body and blood of Christ again.

P.S. I have never had sexual intercourse before. I haven't even had a girlfriend yet.
