New graphics card but power cable too short. Space on a fan but I don't know if it will work.

Alright. I bought an Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 graphics card today and when I went to install it the power cable from my graphics card to a power supply was too short. It's about an inch from being able to plug in. But there is a power supply on my fan that's hooked up on the inner part of my computer's shell.
