Producers of r/edmproduction, how do you perform live?

The title pretty much says it all. I saw this question over on r/makinghiphop a few days ago, and I wasn't able to find any similar threads here on r/edmproduction. What exactly do you do when you're on stage playing a show? Any tips/tricks that you find essential to your performances? What process did you go through to develop your act? I want to do more than just press play and fist pump when I'm on stage, but I don't really know where to start. Any type of answer would be appreciated. Thanks for reading and taking the time to reply!
