AMA Request: Kevin Lyman, Warped Tour founder
Questions:
-
Has the audience that attends any of your shows changed at all in the time that you've been creating festivals?
-
What has motivated you year after year to keep these huge tours going?
-
Do you genuinely like a lot of the bands you get for the tours, or is it mostly for the people that show up?
-
Specifically Warped Tour: why has the line up changed so drastically changed in the last 18 years? No Doubt, The Specials, Blink-182 to bands like Blood On The Dancefloor, Falling In Reverse.
-
Is how a band sounds live on videos, like on Youtube, any influence on whether you ask them to play on a tour or not?
-
Why do you have bands only play three years on Warped?
-
Do you think that putting any well known bands on one of the tours is the reason why they became successful?
-
What did you think when bands you put on the tour suddenly got successful?
-
What advice would you give to someone that wants to get into working on tours?
