INFJ interested in INTP (f/f)
Hey guys,
So we're both in mid 20's, work together at school (not in a professional sense so it's not really a no-no). We have grown really close in the past year. 99% of the time in life I've been the listener to my friends, but she has pretty much played therapist for me and I've kept her entertained with all sorts of hilarious/embarassing life stories (and I have managed to get lots of personal stories from her lately that she was very reluctant to even talk about months ago). there is definitely crazy chemistry going on between us. The problem is that I've had a history of being the one to ask someone out, but I always get rejected, and I have no clue her history of asking/being asked besides her discussing some ex's (and while she has more-than hinted at being bisexual, has not concretely said so, despite my prodding. DAMN YOU EMOTIONAL SUPPRESSING T). I can read her like a book but my past odds have pretty much bashed my approach-confidence into smithereens. On that note, I don't come off as damaged/low self-esteem/low confidence or anything that would suggest being relationship-wise unattractive (because i'm not). she was actually surprised to find out that I'm introverted since we were instantly so comfortable talking to each other.
I feel like she's waiting for me to make a move, even though she is more overtly flirting and I probably come off as hard to read and neutral, but is also not comprehending the fact that unless she is more open about her own life I can't figure out where she stands (and then second guess myself to death). INFJ feelings-vulnerability is definitely a sore point. I feel like inevitably I will verbally check-mate her into a conversation about it and have to make the move but do you guys have any other advice? (INTP or INFJ)
tl;dr how to i approach this situation, overly cautious INFJ with feelings for INTP who cant tell my feelings
also sorry if this sounds too r/relationshipadvice but our personality dynamic definitely has a significant role in how we interact.
