Super Adventure Box

So today i walked into the super adventure box today and i noticed that the door to the second world was open and i got excited thinking they added more level. I was skeptical since there wasnt a big patch nor any new achievements. When i got to the end of rapids of course there was no more levels but im curious. Has the door always been open and i have just not normal or has it just opened?
