[TOMT] Animated film about monsters

I'm looking for the name of an animated film that came out sometime between the 80s to mid 90s. It was done in a sort of japanese anime/ cutesy style. It is about a group of about a dozen little child monsters with humanoid features, who could turn into household objects such as stools, cleaning utensils and such during the nightime or when people were around. They all lived together in an abandoned cottage. The title might have had the word Monsters in it.
