[Suggestion] Dreams in Minecraft

pc

I know I'm not the first one of coming with the idea of dreams in Minecraft but I wanted to share my own view and idea on the topic. I thought on it working this way:

You go to sleep. When you "wake up", there is a random chance (very low) of you actually not waking up, but rather being in a dream. Like in real life, you don't know it's a dream until you wake up, so you would see everything normal and just go on with your life. Just there would be little (or, sometimes, big) details that would make you realize you're dreaming.

In any moment, randomly, a creeper would appear and explode, or everything in your chests would disappear, or you start finding lots of diamonds. Just something bad, or something good would happen to you, but not extraordinary enough for you to notice right away it's a dream.

When you die in the dream, you wake up and you appear next to your bed, just like you would wake up after sleeping, and everything is back to normal. EDIT: Didn't say this, everything you did in the dream did not actually happen, so everything is just as you left it before going to bed.

Extra ideas:

  • If you sleep near mobs, what happens to you in the dream is bad (you have a nightmare).
  • If you sleep listening to music, you have more chances to have a nice dream.
  • If you have eaten lots of cake and cookies, you have multiple nightmares, one after the other.
  • There might be also specially "obvious" dreams, in which it starts raining diamonds, or you wake up in the nether and there are lots of pigmen, or you are in the end without any armor or weapons.
  • In multiplayer, if you go to sleep and there are other people not sleeping yet, you start dreamin until everyone is in bed.
  • There's a chance of you "sleepwalking" , so your character moves in "real life" like you move in the dream, and if something in real life attacks or hurts you, you wake up all of a sudden.

EDIT. More ideas:

  • If there is people or mobs making noise around you while you are dreaming, you will slowly wake up - with an animation, like when you go through a nether portal.
