M/f is not the same as traditional gender roles

It is a common misconception that male dominant-female submissive relationships are structurally similar to 1950’s era relationships. (Or maybe medieval relationships!) I would like to challenge that assumption by showing some ways in which our M/f relationship has violated traditional gender roles:

Penetration equals dominance- This assumption is extremely toxic in F/m relationships where it is assumed that the Domme only wants to fuck with a strapon. The truth is that penetrating can be a submissive or a dominant act. I have played with my Master’s anus and tried to stimulate his prostate. It wasn’t successful, but I’m glad we tried. If Master ever wants me to finger him (or even fuck him with a strap-on) I will gladly penetrate him like a good slave.

Man is the provider Both of us have careers, and neither is expected to take care of the other.

Woman takes care of the children We’re not planning on having any children, but even so Master definitely has a nurturing side. When he visited my family everyone commented on how nice he was to my nieces. While I was watching them play Go Fish I thought “Isn’t amazing how Master can be so sweet and gentle to these children, yet so rough and dominating with his slave?” He is the best of both worlds.

Woman is the sex object- We’re trying to reverse that right now! Last week he instated a ban on me wearing sexy lingerie, showing cleavage, and shaving my armpits/pubes. Looking sexy is his privilege, not mine. We’re still experimenting with this but I think this could be a lot of fun.

Men are stoic, women are emotional Definitely not true. Master takes care of me when I’m feeling blue, but I also take care of him.

So remember even if you are in an M/f relationship, doesn’t mean you should stop questioning the gender roles you were raised in. (Unless you like traditional gender roles).
