[Hamilton/Waltham] Stumbled across two beauties of my gg-father
Came across these two beauties in a drawer at my gradma's house. She was floored as she hadn't seen them in 50 years and said they had not been used in over 80 years.
The Hamilton is a #956 model with a magnified crystal face and is missing the front cover door, but i think it looks beautiful as an open face pocketwatch. Best of all it wound right up and is keeping good time! Not bad for something that's been sitting for the better part of a century
The Waltham has a picture of my gg-ma glued to the crystal and will not wind.
I'll take it to a watch shop next and hope it wont cost an arm and a leg to get it running again.
All in all I'd say this was an awesome find, can't wait to get a chain and start wearing them with a suit!
If anyone has any info or anything to say about them I'd appreciate it, I've never really paid attention to pocket watches before
