Question about my background check.
I recently began the process for employment in a department in Texas and I'll be honest I screwed up. In their personal history questionnaire they asked me about college education. I put down the college I earned my Paramedic certification at, but I failed to mention another college I attended but only completed one semester at (dropped out once to enlist, finished one semester after I was discharged, then transferred to the other school). I have to send the department more transcripts from my high school and from the colleges sent directly from the schools. I'm also going to call them on Monday and inform them of the discrepancy. So far I've passed the civil service test, the polygraph, the PT test, and the oral interview board which was all done over a three day period and my background check hasn't started yet. My question is how badly would this discrepancy affect my chances of being hired. I'm still going to call them on Monday, and to be honest I would not fault them for not hiring me because they might view this as a lack of integrity. I was just wondering if y'all might have some more insight into this. Thanks for your time.
