today something happened

Today was saturday, so I wasn't working. It was a day of full blown spring: sun, warm temperature and all. I went to lunch at my grandma's (like I always do on the weekend) then I drove to the hills out of town so that my dog could run free for a while.

While we were in the fields a girl arrived with a female dog. Mine was very excited and they started playing together, chasing the ball and whatnot. Meanwhile her and I chatted about random things (mostly dog-related stuff). Soon enough, an hour went by. Then more people with more dogs arrived, so we both left and parted ways. We said goodbye, have a nice walk. She thanked me for the company. I think we kinda hit it off.

But we never even introduced ourselves, I don't know what her name is, she doesn't know mine.

I have been depressed for a long time, I have trouble in social relations, I am constantly afraid about what people think about me. I can't even remember the last girl I met that wasn't a salesperson or someone I had been working with.

But today was really fun.

Tomorrow I will go back at the same hour, at the same place and hope to see her again.
