Thank you /r/Books for turning me onto Asimov's Foundation books
I've been working my way through a few of the books in the top 200 list in the sidebar as well as that NPR Sci-Fi list. When I was a teenager, people suggested I read some of Asimov's books, but the first one I picked up was too much philosophy for me.
Foundation is really something special. It is the first book in a while that I really found myself unable to put down. I'm reading through the rest of the series and am considering plowing into The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire when I finish with it.
Anyhow, if you haven't read it, it is definitely worth the time to check it out.
