Dear Reddit: What banking/financial tips do you have for a teenager who's about to go off to university/start his first job?

I'm going to be working my first job this summer, and I'm going to be starting university in the fall. I have some money from my parents, but I'm just trying to gather some sound advice for the future. While I don't like having money govern my every decision, I understand that some premeditation can save me trouble down the line. And so, what kind of financial advice do you have to offer, fellow Redditors?
