Dark Souls won't let me even get to the title screen.

I just recently installed Dark Souls and I can't eve get to the title screen. It signs me into GFWL and then the screen just stays black. There's nothing that happens, no loading indicator, nothing. Has anyone else encountered this? If so what the hell do I do to fix it?

*A small update: I think that the resolution is wonky or something. I can hear the title screen, like when I press start I hear the music start to play and the sound that plays whenever you hit a button. But I CAN'T FUCKING SEE IT. This is starting to piss me off. I've tried to start it in 640x480 mode to see if that would help but it just crashes it.

*Update: I have finally found out the problem, for some reason the default resolution of Dark Souls was causing everything to be who knows where onscreen so after going to user/username/appdata/NBGI/darksouls and deleting DarkSouls.ini I was able to boot the game properly and get DSfix setup and everything.
