How to Remove Apps with libpebble

Hey All,

Someone had posted a thread asking how you go about removing apps using libpebble as their 8 banks were full -- I wrote up this response, but the thread was deleted before I had a chance to post it. Here's the info in case it helps any of you.

Also: If anyone knows how to use libpebble to get an app's UUID, I'd appreciate the info.

I ran into this same issue. I'm not sure how to figure out an apps UUID (I see in in the source, but I'm unsure how to convert the array in the source to the 12 digit UUID that's needed for some commands).

Anyway, here's how I go about removing the apps without the UUID (which would make things a little easier).

In Terminal, from libpebble directory:

  • List apps on your pebble:

    ./p.py --pebble_id YOUR:MAC:ADDRESS --lightblue list

(listing will list all apps on your pebble with a digit of 1-8 next to their name)

  • Remove app: ./p.py --pebble_id YOUR:MAC:ADDRESS --lightblue rm 3

(this will remove the app that's listed as 3 in the first command).

Hope this helps someone! Worst case, you can always reset to factory settings.
