[GO] Can Someone Explain How To Shoot

Hello. I have been playing CS since Source in about 2006. I purchased 1.6 in about 2011 and played an OK amount of hours just to be familiar with the game so when everyone talked about it I wasn't completely ignorant.

I have played quite a lot of CSGO since release and do like the game a lot. In comp matchmaking I am the single AK rank, close to the dual AK's.

I go through different shooting philosophies.

• Crouch and aim down with recoil
• Walk and aim down with recoil
• Just keep running at them
• Just strafe left and right (walking or running)

I always seem to shoot poorly. I think some of it is anticipating the recoil early and aiming down too early. Been playing some games recently with guys like NightStalkeer (Jacob Stanton) and his buddies. He is definitely a certified pro. I always come out on the losing end hard in 1 v 1 shooting engaugements.

For this article, can someone give me some tips? I use the AK and M4. Awp is a separate topic and I actually shoot pretty well with that gun. What is the best way to shoot with these? Range and type of shooting? Looking for specifics. I am not talking about how to be ready for a fight as I always have the reticle at head level and stay active. I just mean when the shooting begins, what's the plan?
