noob coming up on first meet. halp.

Got my first meet coming up in July and I've got a few questions.

The first one I already know the answer to, but by god I'm asking it anyway until there's no one left to tell me NO. Right now I'm squatting 345(lbs, duh) & deadlifting 420 & bench notworthmentioning @ 169. Everybody says never to cut ever, but I am so frigging tempted to lean out my diet a bit and see how strong I can be in 75kg class. I'm 5'9", so way too tall to actually stay in this class long term, but why would I add mass if my lifts aren't plateauing yet?

Second is about records - I recently joined USAPL, and their national squat record @ 75kg is 242.5kg/534.5lbs. In the ADFPF its 202.5kg/446lbs. The WNPF shows a flat 500lbs. NASA's got 232.5/512.5. 75kg strangers on the internet squat 600 easy. At a GPA meet in georgia, Dan Dumitrache squatted 305/672. Obviously I'm not going to challenge any of these anytime soon, (or ever @75kg, because I'm not 5') but being 100lbs from any record is exciting regardless. SO. What is going on with the huge differences between these records? I want to be setting good goals for myself, and I can't figure out what lifts I should be aspiring to if I'm competing raw/un-juiced. Obviously these goals are ridiculous as I've only been lifting for a couple years, but still. Let a guy dream. Are some feds better about testing than others? A lot say "drug free" but don't say shit on their websites about testing. Are some just shitty so no actual powerlifters compete in them? I'm lost here.

In b4 DYEL. In b4 newfag goals.

My angus is peppered. Help me out.

Edit: also is the Virtual Powerlifting Comp still running? Cause that sounds rad.
