How can I check to see if my mods have installed correctly?

I'm using NMM and BOSS as well as SKSE. (I'm running through the SKSE Launcher) Some of the mods that I installed in the past couple days are not showing up at all, or are very buggy. Is there a simple way to check whether or not the mods are working in my game?
