Engorgio Solving World Hunger?

I've been wondering if the 'Engorgio' spell would work on food and could therefore solve world hunger by virtue of being able to infinitely increase the amount of food that we have and distribute it throughout the world. However, we know that food is one of the five Principal Exceptions to Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration, so would it then be unable to be enlarged? Could the spell function like enlarging a picture on a computer where the number of pixels stays the same but just get spread out? Are there the same number of molecules in an item that engorgio has been used on? Will the nutritional value actually increase as the item grows? If it's a charm, then it might work, but if it is a form of transfiguration then it probably wouldn't. Thoughts?
