AMA request: a cropduster
This has to be one of the coolest, most fun jobs one could have. But I've never met anyone who does it.
Is it as fun as it looks? Does it ever get old? Any close calls with mechanical failures or ground obstacles? What are you supposed to do in case of a mechanical failure, since you're so close to the ground it doesn't seem there would be time to do anything. How well are the planes maintained? What kind of experience are they looking for? What is the pay like?
