Does anybody know this guy? My friends (from New Zealand) were travelling from Banff to Calgary, and had a very strange experience...

Basically, my friends' 12am Greyhound didn't arrive and they needed to take a flight from Calgary to Vancouver in the morning. Since they didn't have any money, this guy (who claimed to be a famous millionaire who worked for Pearl Jam and Def Leppard once upon a time) offered to pay for a 3 or 4 hour taxi ride to Calgary. Once he'd done that however, he wouldn't let them go to the airport, and basically led them on a crazy adventure.

It was such a wild story that I'm curious whether anybody knows who this guy is. He lives in Calgary btw. And this happened about a year ago.
