Mained top for a long, long time. Feel lost, glued to the lane despite somewhat wanting to change!? S3 = bad?

So, just posting this maybe I recieve some helpfull tips. (Feel weirdly hopeless and bored of toplane)

So, the thing is, I'm maining top and have done so for 7-9 months or so. I have good knowledge of toplane, counters, good mechanics etc. I'm playing in a ranked team atm as toplaner. I feel constantly bored playing those "FoTM/Broken" champs, and when not playing them it seems you're not able to do your job as good as you could with some of the current strongest champions. I've now ended up playing tons of Rene, Jayce etc coz of ranked team. Now I'm just wasting time fooling around of random wannabie champs coz I'm bored it seems. I've even tried making Ryze work top, that bored.

• Maybe I feel that S3 really sucks? My old mains (Like Irelia, Jax, AD Nidalee) are not rly anymore, uncomparable in strenght to the rest of the current viable toplaners (Rumble, Rene, Jayce, Shen etc.) The amount of knowledge I have of toplane is uncomparable to the rest of the roles, despite the fact that I can play every role decently. (Proper runes for every lane, main champs for every role, sup, jungle, mid, adc. If I get thrown into either I can perform well np).

• Whenever I play it's usually with the team, so I play lots of toplane. I've tried before to play more somewhere else, but somehow I can't make the transition to the other role, because I always play toplane whenever I usually play seriously (Team practice etc). Despite trying to play mid, adc or something in normals (to practice, maybe transfer), in the end of the day I always end up playing toplane coz of team praxtice etc.

• I've recently gotten new internet (New internet provider) so I can play ranked. I've played since late 2011, not even touching ranked because I might recieve lagspikes and destroy others games(which is now fixed, lagspikes since Feb 2012). But now as I've gotten it...I don't feel like playing it at all. Maybe I've tried to play seriously in normal draft for too long that I've gotten bored because there's no improvement of those I face and pure stomping? Even the players I meet now in normals and ranked team is either plat/diamond and some gold players (I'm unranked atm) which is easly dealt with.

• I seriously hate S3. It sucks beyond imagination. It's powered by health and FoTM/Broken champs. I feel midlane got much more variety that suits me more, me theorycrafting toplane got low amount of champions to feel around with imo.

It kinda feels hard transfering to another role/lane when you've put so much time into the lane itself. If I were to change, it would be mid, but I've tried without making it work (not playing mid, but complete transfer). Maybe I've used too much time with toplane to change? Idk completely what I want, just throwing this out there. :/
