What is your favorite run you've ever been on? I'll go first.
It can be a race, training, long distance, track meet, whatever. Just a run that you look back on and think "That was awesome."
I have two from when I was on vacation in the Bay Area. They are both probably very average runs for those from that area but for someone from the Southeastern US it was amazing.
The first was from my hotel in Fisherman's Wharf, down the coast, over the Golden Gate Bridge and back early in the morning. The views from the bridge were amazing but I also happened to be running the same day as the "Escape from Alcatraz" tri. The area was buzzing prior to the start of the race and I was able to see some racers begin their swim from Alcatraz as I was on my way back. It was awesome.
The second was on the same trip from my hotel in downtown Monterey, CA. I ran down Cannery Row and down the coast right along the ocean switching back and forth between he road and beach trails. Amazing views again and I even saw a deer cross the road in front of me, which is not something I was expecting. Again it's probably run of the mill for those from that area but I still think about it sometimes when I'm out on a country road run here at home.
What are your favorites? Post pics if you've got 'em!
