Yankees better with or without Cano?
Cano is in for a huge payday, which for the sake of the argument will be at least 7-8 years. Don't get me wrong he's one of the few players deserving of the type of money and years he's going to get. But, problem is the Yanks already have a handful of players with contracts that are too long and too big. Cano might and probably perform very well over the next 3-4 years, but than the Yanks are back in same spot of having an over-payed, older player. The Yankees are too old they need to get younger. I believe that Yanks need to let Cano walk, and go hard after a younger player to build around. Stanton being the the best choice for the Yankees to build around. It might cost them a lot in money long-term to keep him and upfront in terms of prospects, but I cannot see a better move for the Yanks to make. To sum it up let Cano (30yrs) walk and do whatever they need have to, to bring in Stanton (23yrs) . What are your guys thought?
