Why I dislike "Atheists"

I am an Atheist but it's a minuscule piece that's simply a result of everything that I know and believe in. Why do so many people cling to this title as a foundation to their belief system when asked what they believe? There are groups and organizations across the country where Atheists gather together, the internet being a huge place for that as well. But it's a silly title to give yourself when you think about it. To be an atheist requires nothing more than having a lack of belief in a God or Gods. That's it. It comes with no belief system whatsoever. It states one thing that you have no belief in, but nothing beyond that. It's like going around telling people that you love not playing hockey. Ok... Who cares? What is there to talk about in that? So why don't self proclaimed Atheists call themselves something with some actual meaning within it? Something that actually incapsulates what you believe and think while hopefully encouraging meaningful conversation? Just curious to know from people that readily describe themselves as simply an atheist.
