Is it more appropriate to cite the review paper or cite the citation in the review paper?
I'm writing my first major research paper and I'm simply wondering if it's more appropriate, when citing a statement coming from a review paper that also has a citation in the review paper, to cite the review paper or cite further back at the original source. In some cases, I do not intend to read the original source.
Sorry if that first sentence is too long and confusing :)
