Need help figuring out if this is possible: computer in one room, keyboard, mouse, monitors, speakers in another
First off, if there's another subreddit where this would be more appropriate, feel free to direct me there.
To elaborate on the title, my fiance thinks my computer is an eyesore, so she wants to keep it in the spare bedroom, while my monitor/keyboard/mouse/etc are in the living room. I'm okay with that, but I'm having trouble finding the right hardware to make this possible. I'm trying to find wireless solutions, but I could use some help. Here's a breakdown of what I have:
- 2 Monitors (both DVI. One has regular tv hookups as well, including HDMI, the other does not)
- Keyboard and Mouse (both USB)
- speakers (2.5mm audio)
For the keyboard and mouse, I think I can use something like this, but I don't know if data speed is an issue (with just a kb/mouse, I assume the answer is no, but if I'm wrong, please correct me)
I did some research and found some products for the wireless DVI, I had a hard time telling if they were even what I was looking for, plus the concensus seemed to be that the connection would not be ideal. Is there another way I can go about connecting my monitors to a computer in a separate room?
For the speakers, a coworker told me I can use bluetooth transmitter/transceiver, but haven't had a chance to finish our discussion. I'm sure we can work it out between the two of us, or at least he can, but if anyone has some ideas about this, I would welcome them.
