Stockgrind on the JagdPanther?

So I'm less than 20K away from finishing my grind on the horrible tank that is the JagdPzIV. Soon, I will abandon it and be able to play the JagdPanther, which I hear is pretty good.

But I'm worried about the stock grind. You're using the JagdPzIV's really crappy gun until you can get a new, semi-decent weapon. But now you're up against Tier 9s.

So how bad is the grind?
