Need help connecting to Xbox live at college.

I was playing on xbox live just last night, and when I turned my xbox on today, I couldn't connect to xbox live. I tested all my connections, and they all checked out, but it said my NAT was set to moderate, and apparently that's a problem. I have an ethernet cable going from the port in the wall directly to my xbox. I don't have a router or anything like that. I'm not tech savvy, and I would love you forever if you could help me with this problem. I tried going to support.xbox.live but it was useless. I tried to call someone, they were unavailable. I tried to chat with an "ambassador". I sat there for at least 20 minutes to no avail. Help me, Obi Wan Kanobi...you're my only hope.
