WSIB: History Games?

I love games that have to do with history. Can't get enough of them. Some examples are Mount and Blade Napoleanic Wars, Crusader Kings 2 (mainly CK2, but the other Paradox grand strategy titles as well), Age of Empires campaigns (been playing HD edition), Total War games, and even historic fiction like Assassins Creed games.

Are there any other franchises out there that do a really good job of fleshing out a specific time period in history? The type of game doesn't matter to me as much as:

1. Good overall gameplay for its genre.
2. History plays a big role in the context or main story.

Edit: Thank you all for your recommendations! A lot of games here that I haven't heard of/wouldn't have thought to get for a historical context. Love this sub, love this community! Thanks again.
