Can't SSH Pi over WiFi
I recently got a wifi adapter for my Pi and configured it through the wifi configure tool through VNC while my pi was connected to my macbook through ethernet. I have googled extensively, but I am still unable to communicate with my Pi over the WiFi lan.
Now, I am trying to be able to SSH and use VNC with my Pi over my WiFi network. My airport express router tells me its IP is 10.0.1.3. (Is this a normal IP? When connected through my macbook and ethernet, its IP was 192.168.x.x). So I try
ssh pi@10.0.1.3
and get
ssh: connect to host 10.0.1.3 port 22: Connection refused
What is the problem? Do I need to set up port-forwarding? (I have tried, but I don't know if I have done it right.) I have also tried resetting the key for 10.0.1.3.
Could anybody point me in the right direction to solving this problem?
Edit: I can ping 10.0.1.3
$ ping 10.0.1.3
PING 10.0.1.3 (10.0.1.3): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 10.0.1.3: icmp_seq=0 ttl=64 time=0.083 ms
More info: Running Wheezy. I have no mouse or Keyboard. I am using an Airport Express router and a macbook pro. I also have a crappy D-Link router, and a 8 port ethernet hub at my disposal.
UPDATE: I got it working! Thanks to those who helped
