I've been actively talking my father out of helping my brother since I've moved here.
My brother is nothing but a needy user in his mid 20s. I haven't seen him, or my dad in 8 years, and in those 8 years, my brother has gotten my dad to do his bidding again and again and again.
My dad admits he hates it and wishes he'd stop fucking around and get a job. We both wonder why his girlfriend is even still with him. She works and goes to school and he says she's a bitch because she doesn't help him, but it's obvious as to why. He's like a male gold digger.
Just this week my brother has hit my dad up for a total of 60 dollars, as well as buying him groceries, and taking him to an alleged drug test for a job he's applying for (one he'll undoubtedly fail). And every time I successfully talk my dad into telling him no, he either starts pulling a guilt trip, or calls and texts nonstop until my dad is so annoyed he helps him just to get him off his case.
I think my brother is beginning to see a change in my dad's patterns since I arrived, and tension is kinda rising, but I don't care. He needs to grow up eventually.
