Why do I lose an honor badge without any notice of it?

I have had my "Great Teammate" badge ever since the honor system came out, and I will be honest, I was incredibly proud of it. With a few miss steps here and there, I always try my best to actually live up to this badge, and be a great teammate. however, today I suddenly lost my badge, no notice, nothing.

Now I do understand that only the top ~1.5% gets this badge, and I just got shoved out of this. However, this just made me feel incredibly cheated on. I am a great team mate, and I do not feel like I should have lost this badge.

Not sure what I want to ask with this post, I am just looking for some opinions.
