Think it's safe for me to use my oven?
A couple days ago, my wife ran the oven through a self-cleaning cycle. Afterwards, she sprayed on some easy off. And spent quite a while rinsing it off,
The first time we used the oven after the self-cleaning cycle, something caught fire in there. We turned the oven off, and let it cool for several hours, eventually cooking a decent meal in there.
Today, my Mom remembered a tip from yeas ago, and put some foil in the bottom of the oven, before cooking dinner. About half an hour into baking, there's a ton of smoke pouring out of the sides of the oven. We turned off the heat, and I pulled the foil off, it much of it is melted on to a plate that covers the bottom heating element.
I haven't pulled the plate off to inspect the heating element, yet; it's still too hot. We're going to eat out tonight. I'm wondering if it's safe to use at all, or if I need to call in a professional, or just replace the oven. What do you guys think?
