Alright r/teenagers, what's your best/worst sports story?

There was this time I was in würzburg playing a lacrosse tourney, sponsered by a lingerie shop (I kid you not). I was youngest person there, lots of alcohol, etc. that's for a different story though.

Anyways the women were up and no one else was playing and one side needed a goalie. I decided hey, why not try this once in my lifetime. So I suit up and games starts and my team obviously is destroying them.

We score many times before there was this one time this girl had a break-away and she's 1 v 1 on me, she shoots and she hits my nuts! I just stood there hunched over going "OOOOFFFF!" Everyone saw it and you heard a huge gasp from the crowd. I stand there hunched over and fell backwards 5 seconds over. I sit there writhing on the ground for about 10 seconds before I slowly get up, orient myself and find the ball.

It was like an inch short from them getting it so she didn't score on me! I get it and throw to a middle field person and the game continues on. If I had not been wearing a cup... Cups protect long-term investments, not short-term (e.g. Impact). Everyone asked if I was okay and I still get goaded on asking if I want to play goalie :P.

Tl;dr: played as women's goalie first time ever and get shot in the nuts. Always wearing a cup forever!
