Would you guys like to give me some opinions/suggestions on colors (walls and furniture) for my first house?

Im very excited to be having my first house built new, and it should be finished in a few weeks. my parents have graciously offered to replaced my hand-me-down living room set with a new one, and have the house painted for me (since the builder will only paint white or off-white). Im trying to get ideas for what will look best with my color selections.

i already have the color of the cabinets, hardwood floors, and counter top all picked out. The kitchen/living room/dining room are all one big "great room", so its the same color wood floors throughout the downstairs. I uploaded pictures for you guys, but i realize these are pretty much going to look different on everyones monitors, so they are just kind of for reference. since the cabinets and floors are so dark, i was thinking that lighter color walls, with a furniture that incorporated both, would look best, but i dont know, so thats why im here.

our painter is using Sherwin Williams paint, so we are looking at their color palette, and our budget for the furniture is $1500. there are tons of local furniture places, i just need to know where to start.
