Translation/pronunciation check

I'm slowly trying to learn Polish but have only just started and am terrible at it, so far. Could someone please be so kind as to confirm or refute that "when is the wedding?" translates as "kiedy jest ślub?", and that it should be pronounced (very roughly, I can't type IPA) as "kee-eddy yest shloob" (with the kee sound being very short and the oob sound being quite long in the oo but with the b being very hard)? ^I ^am ^well ^aware ^this ^is ^a ^terrible ^way ^of ^trying ^to ^get ^across ^pronunciations, ^but ^I'm ^afraid ^it's ^the ^best ^I ^can ^do.
