Sound input of the ATH-WS55i

So I've been looking for new headphones the last couple of days and came across the ATH-WS55i.

Since my ears are shit and their reviews are quite good they should be good enough for me sound-outputwise.

Thing is, is the in-built microfone good enough?

I want to use them for normal phone calls as well as things like Skype/Mumble/TS3 etc. on my computer without my conversation partner telling me it sounds like I'm standing right next to the fucking Niagara Falls because of all the static coming through as happend with those

So if anyone has experience with them, I'd love if you could share it.
