Just built a trade port and my trucks refuse to go near it.

I had 3 trade depots working fine with crude oil from my drills going there or straight to my refineries who's fuel then was stored until it was exported at the trade depots. I finally was able to upgrade to a trade port and attached both crude oil and fuel storage and a sea port for exporting but the trucks were still prioritizing the trade depots. I searched for solutions and came up with not accepting deliveries to the depots, this didn't work, the trucks just decided to sit in one spot. I then went to option 2, destroying my trade depots which also resulted in my trucks just sitting still. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix my city?
