So this just happened ...

Walking home from the grocery store cutting through a park this kid on a skateboard rolls up to me,

Kid: "Hi mister can I borrow $2? I'm a little short for menkies"

Me: "Menkies"

Kid: "Yeah, menkies right down the street"

Me: "You mean Menchies the ice cream shop?"

Kid: "Yeah."

Me: "No."

Keep in mind this kid was overweight and I live in a crappy studio in an otherwise affluent area. My guess his parents already told him no as he was probably at the park with them. So going over the parents was step two.

After walking 2 miles home with only essential groceries I wasn't feeling like being philanthropic to a chubby little kid panhandling for a luxury food item (i.e. exactly what he doesn't need).

How/when/where do kids learn to panhandle and beg strangers for money for anything let alone fucking ice cream? Do they just get their way so often that when they don't their first thought is to beg for money from a stranger? Wtf is wrong with parents? I am sick of dealing with the blow back/fallout of their shitty ass parenting.

I was about to ask him where his GD parents were to let them know I didn't appreciate their overfed brat begging me for money ... FOR ICE CREAM! Smh.
