I was referred here by one of my lady friends who said you might be able to help. Anyways, I'm a 23yo male who just can NOT get rid of his dandruff and going crazy.

Let me explain my history.

I've had dandruff since grade school, it sucks. I did everything and I mean everything, from head & shoulders to Selson Blue to Neutrogina T-Gel to Nizoral to a whole slew of different ointments prescribed by my dermatologist and every time it comes back or doesn't go away at all. EVERY TIME.

I get so frustrated. I tried the no-showering-with-shampoo ordeal, I tried the shower-with-shampoo often, I tried the conditioners and moisturizers and nothing works.

So guys/gals, please help! I think I asked my dermatologist if it was one of those scalp problems a while ago (I think it was called psoriasis) and he said something like "no, no, it'd look red and yada yada yada". Each time I go to a dermatologist they offer me something new to no avail. I remember even talking to a dermatologists assistant once and she said "for some there is no cure, just control".

Is that true? Is there nothing I can do? I've had this for almost my entire life and I'm really frustrated.
