Plot from Dishonored compared to Thief reboot...
I could let it go that they weren't getting Stephen Russell back, and I understand that Dishonored borrowed a lot from the original series. I'm still excited but after reading the plot synopsis on Wikipedia, I can't help but be disappointed.
Garrett, a master thief who has been away from his hometown for a long time, returns to it, a city named 'The City', and finds it ruled over by a tyrant called 'The Baron'. While The City is infested by a plague, the rich continue to live in good fortune, and Garrett intends to exploit the situation to get rich.
After returning from a foreign voyage to seek aid with the deadly plague ravaging the city, Corvo Attano travels to the tower of Dunwall and meets with the Empress. The Spymaster has seized control of Dunwall as Lord Regent. The city is stricken with a plague spread by rats and dogs which is killing the poor and isolating the rich.
Now the Dishonored one was cherry picked, and put together. My point is to highlight that the plot for the new Thief sounds like the plot for Dishonored with the proper nouns changed.
